What's On Your Workdesk this 5th day of Christmas?

Mine is a work surface in a different room today. We've been royally entertained this Christmas by family and friends who have stepped in to make what was a fraught week a whole lot easier. This is my therapy of choice for Tuesday, and as I type, we're contemplating an early breakfast and a rush about to do a couple of jobs at work before friends arrive for lunch. I should point out I think, that despite the history of work desk disasters involving clearing up, my kitchen is made spick and span after each 'session' ...it's part of the OCD thing in the left side of my brain..I can't do anything in the house if the kitchen isn't clean and tidy. And as it's the smallest kitchen in Christendom, that's no great effort I can tell you!
I made a massive pavlova and Miss D made some more mince pies. A bit predictable, but hey - our friends like a nice chewy meringue!

Show us what you're up to this day of five gold rings then - either on your craft desk or elsewhere - it's fascinating to see what you do on 'days off', and of course for some in the UK, this is a back to work day....bah humbug! Photo, upload to your blog and link in here...I'm still fighting to get around last Wednesday's desks, so forgive me, you may get a double whammy visit this week!
Since this is the last work desk Wednesday of 2010, please accept best wishes for a truly happy New Year, I hope 2011 brings you peace and security and allows you time for crafting!

It IS the last WOYWW of 2010 isn't it? How lovely to end it with Mince pies and pavlova and friends. Much better than spending it stranded in the snow! Thanks for the great times and cheers to new Wednesdays, tidy spaces (or not) and fantastic 2011 for ALL!

Now Julia, that is one serious looking mixing machine you have on your counter... I am a little envious! If I could stay in one country with one sort of electricity current for more than a year or two I wouldn't mind paying the price of one of them.... Happy New Year to you and yours, Julia, hope its a good one for you!

What a tease this blog is! Lol. It says "You're first!" then gives your spot away to five people with speedier fingers....*smile*
Ummm...food talk is making me hungry... And I have to wait 7 hrs for breakfast! Happy New Year to all and to all a good night!

I'm having a terrible time leaving a comment on your blog this morning. This is my third attempt. I love your tidy workdesk today. I'm the same way. The kitchen MUST be clean before I leave it. Looks like something really good is being made, though. I remember my Grandmother made mince pies every Christmas. I never could wrap my taste buds around it, though.

Here are some more warm wishes for an AWESOME new year to you and your family.

Have fun baking, see you next year!

Happy New Year to you and your family! I'm sorry I've got two links today, I asked my sister to put one for me before I left to go shopping. When I returned to find Mr. Linky up, I linked up only to find my sister put one up too!

Good to know you don't treat your kitchen the same way you do your craft desk! The picture is so nice it could come out in a magazine! Patsy from

Pavlova. I now need a pavlova quite desperately. I haven't made one for ages but you have definitely inspired me.

And please don't feel you need to visit me this week. You have much better things to do and my blog is very boring!

Happy New Year.

I used to be able to sleep quite soundly with dishes in the sink all night, but less and less these days lol. Probably because I like more than instant coffee and cold cereal for breakfast these days.

Here's wishing eveyone a very happy new year.

What a lovely finale to the year's WOYWWs. It all sounds yummy and it looks like your kitchen is spot on like mine. Small with the same cupboards too! You've just got to be clean and tidy in the kitchen, let's face it we don't eat our other crafting so it's different priorities!
Good Luck & Good Health for 2011

Pavlova? Yum!

Thanks for being the hostess with the mostest for WOYWW, Julia. It's introduced me to some fab bloggers, even people untidier than me, and that's got to be an achievement in itself. Seriously, it's all been really inspiring, and I've felt really welcomed as a crafty newbie. Here's to even more fun snooping in 2011.

BTW - Apologies to anyone who linked before me and didn't see my WOYWW post when they clicked Mr Linky. Blogger was "having a moment" and refused to upload my post for a while.

My craft desk may be mess, but my kitchen? Oh no, not even a FORK in the sink! I'm pretty fanatical about the kitchen. And no shoes are worn inside my home - unless they are "house shoes". Isn't it funny how we (I'm putting other people in this with me!) can be so funny about some things and NSM about others? HA!

Happy New Year and thank you for the fun times this year sharing and seeing what others have on their work desks. xo

my hat is off to you, the only thing i have made recently is toast and a cup of tea. Shocking but true!

I'm being spoilt at the moment by DH and his family. It's a turkish thing, whenever you visit you are invited (kidnapped) to eat. I've been visiting a lot - hee hee.

Hence the lack of crafting lol.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful new year.

So perfect to show your "kitchen work desk" - I think we've all been spending a lot of time there! One of my wishes is to someday spend Christmas in England! In the meantime, I'm slaving away today making more cookies and homemade bread! Happy New Year!

Yet again I neglected to comment! Love Pavlova, haven't had one in years though. We love it so much that we had it for our wedding desert, with lashing of cream and fresh fruits! Odd how your cleaning tendencies extend to any room of the house except the craft room.... and mine are completely the other way round!!
